Antigone has always been one of the most popular of Greek tragedies. Though the incident on which the plot is based -- the resolution of Antigone to surrender her life rather than leave her brother's corpse unburied -- appeals less forcibly to modern than to ancient sentiment, yet the general motive of the play, the conflict between human law and the individual conscience, is one of deep and universal significance

The Paris Commune, March 18 to May 28 1871, is significant for the nature of its members and their aspirations, its bloody conclusion, and the mythic nature of its legacy. “Why is the idea represented by the Commune of Paris so attractive to the workers of every land, of every nationality?” asked the Russian anarchist Peter Kropotkin in 1881. Nearly a century and half after its demise the Commune continues to inspire activists.

Purpose: Students will write several arguments based on their founding father and their view point (federalist or anti-federalist) in a clear concise statement using only 140 characters per thought using twitter. Their tweets will be seen by their other classmates, and will be an open debate on the internet and students are allowed to reply (almost like a comment section of a blog.) to start the debate. Twitter will be the meeting place for students (framers to argue their ideas. This will be a modern day Constitutional Convention as if the framers had this technology back then. This will teach students not only the arguments presented by the federalist but it will teach students how to write well organized concise arguments to the point.
