Recreation of Ch 2, Night, by Elie Wiesel
God came to Jonah and assigned him a mission that Jonah refused to accept. Jonah did not want to go to the city of Ninveh and warn the people there that they have to repent in order to live. Jonah thought he could run away from God and he boarded a ship. A nasty storm caught up with the ship and Jonah was forced to leave the boat. He was thrown into the ocean and swallowed up by a whale. While he was in the whale, Jonah prayed for forgiveness and God was compassionate and granted him another chance. The whale spit him out and Jonah completed his mission in Ninveh.
